Welcome to
Coastal Sustainable Urbanism
In this special meeting we will discuss developments about coastal sustainable urbanism with a number of renowned and innovative organisations in Canada and the Netherlands.
Vancouver is located in the Fraser River delta and has a lot in common with the cities in the Rijn delta in the Netherlands. Through these roundtables we will focus on what can we learn from one another, exchange trends we see in both coasts, and get to know each other better and explore possible opportunities for future collaboration.
Our speakers Larry Beasley, Kees Lokman and Lilian van de Aarsen will give three presentations to provide context about how Vancouver and the Netherlands see coastal sustainable urbanism. After that, we invite you to join us for an open discussion in three breakout sessions to discuss in small groups each topic at hand, led by these topic leaders. The event will conclude with the opportunity to further engage with fellow participants in our 1on1 Introductory Chats with firms in Vancouver and in the Netherlands.
